I was wondering, Im having a crisis! I dont know what the universe map means! :O

Basically, my questions be, in the Universe Map, do the colors mean anything or is it just for looks. For instance, Nimt is red as hell. Does that mean its hostile? Further, in Omi, theres some red along the middle. Does that indicate further hostility?

Also, does the Universe Map accurately depict the star count, or is it to scale somehow, like, 1 dot = 10 stars?

Further, what exactly IS the star count, Im curious :3

Source only red name so Khar,Sol,Rift,Raki and Anath. Meaning the nebula are just nice decoration. :)

The colors on the map are the colors of the stars, nothing more, nothing less.
The map is 1:1, with the exception of some fancy glow, each pixel is a star.
The color of region names reflect their status:
Green for neutral
Yellow for unsafe
and Red for hostile

So again, the colors of the stars is irrelevant to the alignment of the region. A red region can (and is) neutral for example.

The star count is 42'952, each capable of up to 5 planets.
Stars can be added or removed as needed, there is no upper limit to the number of stars.
